Hemroid Management And Prevention

It is imperative to properly understand those factors that predispose to hemroid formation if one hopes to treat and indeed cure hemroids.
If one intends to prevent and cure hemroids without having to resort to surgery then it is vital to have a deep understanding of what caused the hemroid to form in the first place.
Understanding the conditions that lead up to and promoted the formation of hemroids will go a long way in establishing the correct course of treatment for those hemroids.
Hemroid Causes & Predisposing Factors
Hemorrhoids is that condition where the veins distributing to the anorectal region become swollen and inflammed. Hemroids is commonly referred to as piles in layman's lingo.
Some people sometimes get hemroids for no other reason than that they suffer from a genetic predisposition to being afflicted. Hemroids are commonly encountered in older people because of the invariable loss of tissue elasticity. Perhaps one the most common causes of a hemroid is straining as a result of constipation or diarrhea.
Hemroids commonly occur in individuals who suffer from obesity, they also frequently occur during pregnancy. Another condition in which hemroids often occur is in liver disease. In all of these cases the hemroid forms because of increased pressure, though the cause of build up in pressure varies.
Food and your diet also have a role to play in whether or not you will get hemroids. How? Well certain eating habits have been recognized as enhancing the formation of hemroids. Such eating habits may be any of the following: Eating too much dairy products and thus having an over-abundance of lactic acid in your system; drinking too little water; indulging in a diet that provides too little fiber and not intaking enough vitamin E.
Excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption can also cause hemroids, as both deplete the body of water. And to make matters worse, caffeine is a well-known inducer in elevating blood pressure (at least temporarily), and if taken in large enough doses for prolonged periods caffeine can help promote a permanent state of increased blood pressure. And as previously noted increase blood pressure is a well recognized factor in the predisposition or formation of hemroids. Hemroids occur more frequently in the so-called developed countries. This has been attributed to the prevalence of processed foods and also the ubiquitous toilet which convenient as it is puts undue strain on rectal region when passing stool.
