Internet Marketing Strategy

Back in the day I used to advice (based on what I used to do myself)that when executing a linking campaign based from a dynamic website directory you should only link to high page rank sites.
Well I'm only human...which means I am bound to err; so it isn't too surprising that since that time I have chnaged my tune. These days I preach almost the exact opposite. Here's why:
If you are linking to dynamic script based web directories (we aren't talking linking farms here...such a directory must provide websites with unique urls and different IP addressses otherwise your linking campaign proffers no SEO (search engine) advantage)then it is actually better to link to both high PR (Page Rank) sites and low PR sites.
Why?
Because when you link to high PR sites from such a link directory chances are extremely high that the link to your site is going to be embedded several pages deep. This means--in most cases--it is going to be extremely difficult for search engine crawlers to find your link. IN OTHER WORDS THAT LINK IS USELESS!
Now if you link to newly hatched sites you aren't going to have this problem because most of then won't have a ton of links. So in this case you'll probably find your links embedded on the first few pages as opposed to being deeply embedded on say page 100!
